John Batten is the President/owner of Batten Automotive, and has been servicing and repairing all makes and models of cars since 1996. He is a graduate of the Auto Mechanics program from Central Florida Community College, and is a certified ASE Master Technician specializing in all aspects of diagnoses/repairs on Asian type imports. Along with his highly skilled professional staff, they have diagnosed, repaired and maintained hundreds of vehicles, from entry level to luxury cars, light trucks, hybrids and SUV’s of all makes and models. Prior to opening Batten Automotive, John spent 13 years as an automotive technician at a Toyota dealership. Through Southeast Toyota, he completed over 20 training courses in theory & operation, and in diagnosis and repair, ultimately achieving the status of Master Toyota Technician. In addition, John has also completed the Advance Auto Parts Hybrid Training Course to better service the growing popularity of hybrid vehicles on the road today. With over 26 years of experience and training, John Batten can help you find the solution to your automobile’s issues.
Rick Soucia is the Service Manager and joined Batten Automotive in 2003. He is an ASE certified Master Parts Specialist and an ASE certified Service Consultant. As the Service Manager at Batten Automotive, Rick provides friendly, professional service and advice for a better quality experience and relationship with the customer. Rick utilizes his knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and shop operations to help determine the right parts and services customers will need to solve their automotive needs. Rick began his career in the automotive service industry in 1982. He has worked for several places including Ace Auto Parts and Penske Auto Center, both as an Assistant Manager. Rick also worked for Western Auto, where he attended their management school and ASE Parts Training to become the store manager and an ASE certified Master Parts Specialist. Among his many accomplishments, Rick has also completed Carquest’s Underhood Training in brakes, ABS, and A/C.

Rick Gray is the Lead Technician and has been part of the Batten Automotive team since 1999. Rick has over 15 years of experience in sales and service in the automotive field. He currently specializes in A/C and heating, wheel alignments, engine diagnostics, and brakes. Rick’s training includes CarQuest’s Brake Training and A/C Training courses, as well as Advance Auto Parts Hybrid Training Course.
Kevin Preston is the resident Line Technician, and a member of the Batten Automotive team since 1997. He is the “go to guy” for general automotive repairs once problems are diagnosed. Kevin’s training includes CarQuest’s ABS brake Training program, as well as his 12+years experience in general automotive repair and service.
Judith Mizzoni, the Treasurer/Business Manager, has been at Batten Automotive since 2003. With over 45 years of general office and accounting experience, Judith keeps Batten’s back office operations running efficiently.
Josh Cardinal is the newest addition to the Batten Automotive team. Joining in March 2010 he's already a valued member and technician of the Batten Automotive Family. He has previously worked for Lube 1 for 5 years.
